I feel truly inspired by the Pacific Ocean and her complete calm in the face of so much adversity on her planet. She is larger than all continents and their total land masses added together. SHE IS THE LARGEST BEING ON THIS PLANET. Let that sink in…pardon the pun.
The Pacific Ocean is the largest and deepest of the world ocean basins. Covering approximately 63 million square miles and containing more than half of the free water on Earth, the Pacific is by far the largest of the world’s ocean basins. All of the world’s continents could fit into the Pacific basin.

Tengo MUCHA suerte porque he estado viviendo en la costa de este océano toda mi vida. TALK ABOUT BLESSED!!
“Peaceful ocean” = Pacific Ocean.
It’s time we gave homage to the one thing that is in front of us, envelops us, centers on us–every single day of our lives. This is not something based on a belief that men hundreds and thousands of years ago taught us to “believe in” based SOLELY on their words and stories that we cannot touch, see, smell, taste, or feel. It is time to believe in the very planet we LIVE and BREATHE on and from…she is so abundant and giving. SHE is the planet that you work on in your gardens, tilling–the planet that you jump, swing, swim in and play upon every day of your life whether you are in Mozambique, Namibia, Uruguay, Thailand, Poland, Portugal, Iceland, Ireland, Cuba, Guatemala, Japan, Canada, Russia, China, Mexico, the U.S. and everywhere else.
SHE GIVES AND GIVES.
Ocean is more ancient than the mountains, and freighted with the memories and the dreams of Time.

I love when the ocean turns inward into a Bay. One of my favorites is the San Francisco Bay. She is a glorious Bay. Sometimes she is magical like this shot below with a fabulous band playing on top of her. 😉
I love to swim in her as her ebbs and floods entice me, dare me, inspire me. I have lived on the Pac Coast my entire life beginning in Washington state born near the delightful Puget Sound. By the age of three, I was in Los Angeles living just far enough from the ocean to require a 20-min ride by car. Then on to Orange County and finally San Diego where both Mission Bay and the waves of the beautiful coast captivated me and kept me busy in the summers with all that she provides. After High School, I headed north to Berkeley and the lively Bay Area. I am quite happy here living a mere 25-blocks from the ocean waves lapping the shore at the aptly named Ocean Beach. This is home.
Aquatic Park is where swimmers partake in the challenge of stroking through the changing currents of the Bay. It’s a beautiful space and there is nothing more amazing than swimming out through the waves and stop to turn around to peep the Ghirardelli Square sign towering above along with several other SF landmarks…from the water! It’s breathtaking!
My swim buddy, Jody, and me after our first swim around the entire perimeter of the cove. Dig it. GOALS!
Planet Earth has five great oceans and 113 seas. They represent 72 percent of the surface of the globe, and together they’ve been an endless source of inspiration for humankind.
